Argentine Tango Is Magic At Any Age

Tango Lesson 5
When we are in contact with another dancer, physical touch has a positive effect on our overall mood and sense of friendship & acceptance. Research has proven that the benefits of human touch are significant: touch reduced pain in the injured, decreases autoimmune disease symptoms, lowers glucose levels in children with diabetes, and improves immune systems in people with serious illness. The touch of a pet helps us live much longer and even softens harden inmates in a prison cell.
Tango Lesson 6
The Tango embrace is a communication that is nonverbal. It is one of the easiest ways to show appreciation and acknowledgement of another dancer. The interpretation of your body language can be based on a single movement and this close contact is an excellent method of expressing yourself non-verbally to other dancers. Not only can one feel the love and care in your embrace, but performers are eager to actually learn to be sensitive enough to pay it forward to other dancers.
